What they came with.
ChapaSwali needed more than a website — it needed a live, real-money game. Ten strangers matched into a room within seconds, the same question revealed to everyone at once, answers timed to the millisecond, a prize pot split three ways, and money moving in and out via M-PESA — all without a house edge, all auditable, all fraud-resistant.

What we did.
We built it on Convex for real-time state — matchmaking queues, server-gated question reveals, live leaderboards updating as players tap. M-PESA Daraja handles STK-push deposits and instant payouts, with a wallet ledger, daily caps, refund-on-unfilled-match, and self-exclusion breaks for responsible play. Every money move is double-entry and audited. An agent referral programme with manual payout approval drives growth.
