A trade e-commerce platform for a building-materials supplier — catalogue, cart and checkout with M-PESA STK push and card payments, real-time delivery quoting to any of Kenya’s 47 counties, and bulk trade pricing that mirrors how the yard actually sells.

01 / The brief

What they came with.

Olestones supplies trade-grade cement, granite and roofing direct from manufacturers — but contractors were calling the yard for prices, and homeowners were buying retail at 2× the cost. They needed a storefront that respected both crowds: bulk-friendly for builders, plain-language for first-time homeowners.

What we did.

A flat catalogue with eight trade categories, M-Pesa STK-push and card checkout, real-time delivery quotes to any county. Bulk-pricing banner per category. Manufacturer trust marks (Bamburi, Mabati, Crown Paints) front and centre. SKU codes mirror the yard so phone orders still work.

What changed.

Phone-order volume dropped while overall orders went up — the site now handles the long tail (small builders, farmers, weekend self-builds) so the yard team can focus on contractor accounts and dispatch.
